2020 gave me the opportunity to see how lucky I am. Here are just a few highlights of what the past year reminded me to be grateful for. I am ever grateful to have my health and will continue to appreciate my body for allowing me to dance, run, breathe, hike, and jump in puddles. I am so grateful I could be there for my family through the many challenges thrown our way - even if it wasn’t always in person. I’m grateful for my friendships and how strong we are together. I am grateful for my partner, @jimmymcd the pandemic didn’t break us, even in our tiny apartment. Finally, I’m grateful to have had so much support for my business, my livelihood... thank you to all who sat in my chair this past year. This category is for stylists who have been behind the chair for less than 5 years. I didn’t place, but I sure had fun. I learned a lot. I made a ton of mistakes. It was more coordination, work, money, time, creativity, and energy than I ever expected. I learned that wardrobe is important, thus, my topless ladies. I learned that one colour session might not be enough. I learned that I need a solid concept and plan of execution, but to be flexible and ready to pivot. I learned that hair pieces should be tried on before the shoot, because they don’t always sit or fit how you might expect them to. I know that makeup and photography are key and that’s one thing I got right! I couldn’t have asked for a better photographer than @camillashoots for capturing and editing like the queen she is! And @makeupbyisabellamartini took my vision and absolutely nailed it!
